Environment Agency weekly update on Torcross 9th April
- Our consultant has concluded their assessment of the information gathered from the Torcross site. They have suggested four technically feasible repair options. Our project board will review the options on 18 April to see which options are and aren’t economically feasible. We will provide a further written update in two weeks time once this meeting has taken place, and will look at other ways to share the conclusions of our review with resident and businesses in Torcross.
- On Sunday morning high spring tides will combine with a positive surge and force 6 South Easterly winds. This is likely to lead to spray overtopping and possible flooding of roads. The Environment Agency will be issuing Flood Alerts and possibly Flood Warnings. You can view our live flood warning pages at https://flood-warning-information.service.gov.uk/.
- Our contractors will return to Torcross next week to continue monitoring the site for movement. If you need to report an emergency incident at Torcross please call our 24 hour incident hotline on 0800 80 70 60.
