    Slapton coast road emergency plan to be trialled
    A ‘dry run’ of the Slapton Line Partnership’s (SLP) emergency plan for closures of the Slapton coastroad is to be held for the first time on 4 December 2007. The exercise will test the SLP’s planned responses to a closure of the road - as happened in 2001. The dry-run will not involve any staged activity.

    An informative newsletter has been launched for the Slapton Line community and other coast road users. Slapton Line, Living with a Changing Coast, was launched last week in response to market research* which found that the local residents and businesses looked to a newsletter for their information.
